I married my high school sweetheart, Tim, in 1974. I then obtained an AA Degree in Secretarial Science in 1976 from Spartanburg Methodist College in Spartanburg, SC.
After graduating from SMC, I worked at Milliken Research Corporation in Spartanburg as a Secretary to Research Chemists until my first daughter, Carla, was born. Other employment included a short time at Lyman Printing and Finishing until my second daughter, Katie, was born. After staying at home for a short period of time, I was employed as Office Manager at Phillips International in Greenville, SC, a professional recruiting firm. My last full time job before retirement was at Spartanburg District Five Schools as Office Manager at Reidville Elementary School. I retired from Reidville Elementary in 2018 with 15 years of service. Currently, I am enjoying a part time job with Hills and Frank Financial.
My husband, Tim, and I enjoy traveling and also cruising. We also join our families in camping trips where we fish, play card games, sit by the fire, and mainly eat a lot! We are active members of Duncan First Baptist Church, and are members of their Celebration Choir. Tim also plays the bass guitar for our Sunday services and at times I fill in on the keyboard whenever needed. Our daughter, Carla, is currently at Wellford Academy as Assistant Principal, and our daughter, Katie, is a Realtor and Licensed Assistant with Century 21 Blackwell and Co. Besides being blessed parents to two beautiful daughers, we have a granddaughter, Harrison, who is currently in Nursing School, and a grandson, Carter, who is a Sophomore at USC Upstate studying Computer Science. We are proud of our families and are so blessed.
